At a time when personal development and positive psychology are fashionable and generate more talk than they seem to have real and proven positive effects, or even experience excesses and abuses, it is high time that Muslims return to the authentic meaning of happiness – which is not limited to the lower world – and to its true sources which are the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah.

Indeed, Islam invites believers to adopt positive thoughts, to correct some of their erroneous conceptions, to reform themselves and to covet both happiness in this world and bliss in the Hereafter, both of which can only be achieved through faith, piety and observance of the precepts of our noble religion.
